Top mounted TUSH holder
thingiverse
Updated 18/04/23 Added a small frame before the guide wheel to stop the filament coming off the sides as it moves over the spool. I have used a number of existing Things in order to make this (still learning Tinkercad Etc) I wanted to replace my existing top mounted stock spool holder with something based on the TUSH system. I couldn't find anything I liked so remixed & made this. The wedge shaped mount uses the slide bar from ashudson's tool holder to fit into the aluminium frame, it is quite a tight fit, but it makes it nice & secure. After that I used IronBridget's TUSH base holder & filled in the middle gap & then added a part of the filament roller section from RedSoda. Thank-you all for great designs. Once you have the mount on, you can glue or screw the TUSH base into the mount & the roller makes it nice & smooth to feed filament down, especially if you also use the full version of RedSoda's filament guide further down. The use of both guide wheels removes any harsh angle that can cause filament strain & it all feeds very nicely into the extruder. You will need supports for the filament guide part of the TUSH holder. I just used tree settings touching build plate only. I printed in Overture red PLA+ at 0.28 layer on a 0.6 nozzle but obviously if you better detail then go smaller :)
