This custom spool holder was designed specifically for the ADIMlab Gantry (Old style), but its adaptable design makes it an excellent fit for most printers that rely on aluminum extrusion frames. The holder utilizes two high-performance 806zz bearings, measuring 22mm x 7mm with an 8mm hole diameter. To ensure a smooth operation, apply a shim to either side of each bearing to prevent any unwanted friction or rubbing against the bearings. I've included both 1mm and 0.5mm shims in the package for added convenience. Before assembly, take some time to lightly sand the interior surface of the main spool holder using a drum attachment on a Dremel tool. This will help facilitate the smooth insertion of the bearings, which are designed to fit snugly within their designated space. Once you've assembled all components together, secure the center piece into the main bracket using superglue for added stability and durability. With these simple steps complete, your custom spool holder is ready for use.
