Top Hat with Goggles - Danbury Hackerspace Hat
thingiverse
This hat was designed based on the logo for the Danbury Hackerspace https://danburyhackerspace.com/. It's adorable and steampunk-inspired, making it perfect for anything that needs a hat! CAD files are available on Onshape! The model was imported from Solidworks, so it consists of basic geometry. Check out the print settings: Printer: FF Creator Pro Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Dual extruded supports using both PLA extruders at 205C, and a base temperature of 35C with ABS sheet as the base material. Post-printing tips: Carefully remove the base support material. I always print the hat with the brim on the base, but since it's parabolic you'll need supports on the bottom layers. You can remove supports throughout the rest of the print depending on how large the print is scaled and the bridging skills of your printer. Designing this project: I designed it in Solidworks by creating separate parts for the goggles and hat, then merging them into an assembly and saving as a single STL file.
