Top Door Wedge

Top Door Wedge

thingiverse

My original door wedge worked pretty well, rarely slipping and only sliding back an inch or so when it did happen. This isn't meant to replace my previous model but rather enhance it. A standard door wedge requires bending over to slide it under the door - or kicking it in with a bit of fun thrown in for good measure - and then bending back over again whenever you want the door opened only a little bit. If your back is aching, this design truly sucks. This new design can be used like a standard door wedge but adds an extra feature. It can ride on top of the door and be adjusted by sliding it towards or away from the door hinge. Sliding it against the door hinge keeps the door wide open, while at its furthest point, it will hold the door slightly ajar to accommodate cats that like to ruin your life by scratching at closed doors. With the Top Door Wedge, you can keep it in place whenever you wish to use it again when leaving the room.
