I couldn't find a frame I liked that could accommodate my 75x inners so I decided to try a toothpick-style frame instead. The VTX fits neatly into the canopy and the RX goes under the main board, where there's a cavity to hold it in place. The frame can support up to 65mm props. The battery is secured with clips on the side and an elastic band, allowing you to fit an XT30 through the base hole if needed. With a 1s 600mah battery installed, the total weight comes in at 54g. In version 1.1, I updated the scale to ensure accurate printing and made a small modification to the mounting pins, increasing their diameter by 0.4mm to make them more durable. I also added cable cutouts for the motor wires on the base of the frame. Version 1.2 saw me complete the build, but the motor wires were slightly too short to fit under the frame as intended. Instead, I ran them as shown in the photo and removed any redundant holes from the design. So far, I'm impressed with how it flies and floats. A new canopy model has been designed and tested (10/07/19), printed in PLA with three attachment points. It will be reprinted in TPU for added flexibility later on, without obstructing the camera's view or interfering with the props. The BETAfpv nano mount is used to secure the camera, available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3148890. Future development plans include creating a fixed TPU interface between the main frame and FC board to address the weak link of standoffs. After burning through several battery packs with this design, it's significantly improved over my old 75x frame with 40mm props. In version 1.3, I've switched to using M2 standoffs as the previous pegs were prone to breaking. While assembly can be a bit fiddly, it's worth the effort. The final four photos show the completed design.
