I was watching Mythbusters and I thought wait a minute.. Jamie really does bear an uncanny resemblance to a walrus. And that's exactly what I'm going for. Using the Primo method of spiral 0.6mm threads, I just completed the whiskers. Now I need to reattach the tusks, but I'll create manual supports so you won't have to generate any, this was more of a test print to ensure the whiskers worked as planned. You should definitely print with good infill or plenty of top layers - my print was a quick test with 3% infill, and I would go for 20% on the next one. I used hot water to shape the whiskers, but I know hairdryers work well too. The hair does have a split down in between the lips, it can be a bit tricky to pull sideways, but using the hot water method I was able to dunk and rebend many times without any breakage. Yes, I can supply the dual extrusion version and probably will upload it tomorrow.
