Toothed Linear Bearing
thingiverse
I've designed a Linear Bearing that currently exhibits minimal backlash and smooth sliding motion after printing. Long-term performance will be tested in my printer soon. The default outline is identical to an LM8UU, but customizable in OpenSCAD using the kr2/MCAD library. To print, ensure all teeth are separated, and it's recommended to use PLA for better adaptability to rods. Interestingly, fewer teeth increase sliding hardness (tested down to four teeth), while twisted teeth apply a twisting force along the rod direction as they slide.
