I'm using this thing because it's silly, but hopefully it will get my kids to brush their teeth long enough for them to actually see the benefits. First, I took those chattering-teeth files and combined all of them into one single STL so that they print out as a single piece - which is a pretty cool reminder about what your teeth might look like if you don't brush regularly. Next, I reduced some space inside the mouth cavity to make it easier to slice and then used Meshlab to decrease the complexity of the mesh. This made slicing much faster than before. I also added spacers inside the mouth to fit in a microswitch from a blinky timer, but you could easily create a new STL with your preferred software if you don't have one.
