This was one of the first design projects utilising the SolidWorks 3D design program. I had to design three concepts that must have two interconnecting parts. So I decided on a self loading toothbrush. The toothpaste is in semi-liquid form held in an interchangeable reservoir within the toothbrush handle. The toothpaste is loaded onto the toothbrush by pump action or by compressed gas within the reservoir or by a small electric pump which is an integral part of the electric toothbrush design. The head can be removed for cleaning purposes and also the option exists for the exchange of heads for bristles of different textures, a full range being available, from very soft to very firm. The angle of the toothbrush head is a part of the design that may need to be corrected if the toothbrush were to be a production model in order for it to take into account the anthropometry and biometrics of the human body
