Inspired by the Charging Case created by Turtle laboratories (https://turtlelaboratories.com/blogs/projects/portable-field-charging-box-for-isdt-q6-rc-charger), I decided to create my own field charging kit using the newly acquired ToolKitRC M8 smart charger. 4/15/19 It's all completed, and it works very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Y0c616mqGE 2/20/19 The project is coming along nicely; I've finished several of the files needed to complete my charging box, just waiting on some electronics now. BOM (02/20/18) Waterproof Storage Box: I selected the Seahorse 300, but any with dimensions of about 24.10cm x 18.70cm x 10.40cm or larger would work perfectly. You can find similar ones at https://www.banggood.com/custlink/3GmKEabO2b. ToolkitRC M8: Check out the features at https://www.banggood.com/custlink/DGGDyLsaUu. 24V Power Supply: I opted for this one from BangGood (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/GGDvRLNofD), but you could use others like this Amazon alternative (https://amzn.to/2Mvwbsz). JST Balance Wire JST-XH Balance Port Adapter for Chargers Extension Cable: Get one here (https://amzn.to/2Wczzbr) DC-DC step down converter: I used this Amazon option (https://amzn.to/2Myooua), but you can also find them at BangGood (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/DvG3EoAaTc) or elsewhere. USB Charger: The one I chose shows input voltage, which is a nice feature (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/GvKGyonj7o), but you can also find them at Amazon (https://amzn.to/2WvRuz7). Banana plugs: I used these for the project (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/mDDvhOsa7e). Power Switch: Get this one from BangGood (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vvKDhLsBvd), and also consider getting a similar aux switch here (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/33D3cZeVE1). 60mm Fan: This is the fan I used for my project (https://amzn.to/2WjNMDn). Any 60mm fan would work, though – just make sure it has two wires. Miscellaneous items include screws, nuts, and wire: M4 Hardware: BangGood has a great selection (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/3GGvdLAbHJ), or you can check your local hardware store. Wire: I bought both 12awg and 14 awg wire from BangGood (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/mvmDC84tJu) and also got plenty of wire connectors like these: https://www.banggood.com/custlink/DDGvWS4VtN. Parallel Board and Charging wires: For Xt30, check out this option at BangGood (https://www.banggood.com/custlink/v3KDC94HAw). I also have a multifunctional plug that came in handy during a field trip; you can find similar ones here: https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vDDmr8BVTl. 2.5mm plywood: I used a scrap piece for my project, but you can use any sturdy material like acrylic or aluminum.
