Toolcart with printed joint connectors
thingiverse
The objective of this project was to explore how much you could streamline the creation of something like this by utilizing modular connectors (the joints). You can assemble this using only a screwdriver and a drill for pilot holes. All of the wood could be pre-cut for you, with the connectors compensating for any rough cuts. I did take some shortcuts by gluing the drawer and mitering the angled pieces. Connectors fit 1x2 wood. To build the lower frame, you will need: * 2 bottom_a_with_wheel_hole * 2 bottom_a_with_wheel_hole.flipped * 2 bottom_a * 2 bottom_a.flipped To construct the upper frame: * 1 bottom_a * 1 bottom_a.flipped * 1 bottom_b_angle_with_wheel_hole * 1 bottom_b_angle_with_wheel_hole.flipped * 1 top_b_angle * 1 top_b_angle.flipped Sets of 2x slidebracket and 2x slidebracket.flipped can be used to attach slides to the bottom frame. Sets of 1x anglebracket and 1x anglebracket.flipped can be used to attach platforms to the top frame. The wood can be cut to any length you prefer, but the dimensions I used are: Lower frame: * 8 horizontal pieces at 18" * 4 vertical pieces at 24" Upper frame: * 4 pieces at 18" * 2 pieces at 22" * 2 pieces at 27.5" (These pieces must be cut at an angle, forming a 3-4-5 triangle with angles of 53.13 and 36.87 degrees)
