Tool Tidy

Tool Tidy

thingiverse

This is a tool tidy that I designed to hold all the tools and bits that are usually scattered across my desk. It's made to hold 24 screwdriver bits, 5 pairs of tweezers, 5 Soldering Iron ends, 2 Electrical tape rolls, 1 Swiss army knife, 1 Leatherman Fuse, 1 Turnigy Hex screwdriver, 1 screwdriver handle, 1 screwdriver extender, and 1 calipers. I didn't originally post this because I thought it would be too specific for anyone else to find useful, but people have asked me to share it so here we are. The model isn't perfect - it holds everything, but the design uses pillars that slot the soldering iron ends onto. This works okay, but they come out rather weak and can break easily. The screwdriver ends fit fine, but it's a little tight getting each one out for the first few times, which can be stiff but gets easier over time. The soldering iron tips, electrical tape reels, tweezers, calipers, and screwdriver tips are all standard sizes. Here are the dimensions of my other tools: Swiss Army Knife - 19.5 x 21 mm, Leatherman (Fuse) - 30.5 x 17.5 mm, Turnigy hex driver - 14.65 mm, Screwdriver extension - 4.75 mm, and Screwdriver - 17.3 mm. I hope you enjoy printing and using my design.
