Tool stopping fan guard

thingiverse

After accidentally jabbing my Hex key into my Makerbot Replicator 2's fan and being too impatient for it to stop, I decided a new fan guard was needed. To obtain one, I used an old wire guard from a Leadtek WinFast A310 graphics card. Cutting it with tin snips to fit the top piece, I glued on the bottom part before installing it onto my Makerbot. If the fan is loose, you may need shims since the bolts are slightly long without the metal guard in place. To print the STL files, use a layer height of 0.27mm and 100% infill.
