Tool rack for mounting on a 2020 frame 3D printer
thingiverse
This is a custom tool rack I built specifically for my Folger Tech 2020 Prusa i3. The design allows it to hold the driver set that comes with the printer, which has unique rounded and tapered front ends on the handles that wouldn't stand up straight in a regular tool holder. In addition to drivers, this tool rack also stores small scissors, digital calipers, an Xacto knife equipped with a built-in blade shield, and needle-nose pliers. The version 3 of this tool rack features a slot for holding needle-nose pliers at one end, along with a versatile arm that can securely hold any type of pliers or cutters at the other end. This design might be useful to others as well, even though I tailored it specifically for my printer and tools. Version 2 had a front slot for inserting and removing drivers without needing to pull them out from the top or drop them in from above. However, I found that this design didn't keep the drivers straight enough, so I created version 3 without slots. This new design also includes an additional plier slot on the left side. Version 2 might be sufficient for flat-tipped pliers that sit firmly on their handles' bottoms, which is why I decided to leave it intact.
