This clip is a must-have for mounting tools like this pen holder to your stock Da Vinci 1.0a print head, with the 1.0 model also likely working seamlessly. I transformed my Da Vinci into a plotter using this versatile clip, which attaches quickly and easily. The accompanying OpenSCAD file generates screw holes or, by adjusting the mounting bump diameter to 8.5, mounting holes (a combination of circles and squares) that perfectly mesh with those in the pen holder - just be prepared for some minor filing. You can potentially repurpose this clip to convert your Da Vinci into a laser engraver, but exercise extreme caution when doing so, wearing laser-safety glasses and taking all necessary safety precautions while remixing and refining the design. Print Settings: Printer: XYZ DaVinci 1.0a with Repetier Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.25 Infill: 20% Notes: I used Slic3r to generate supports for the catch lip, but be warned that these are notoriously difficult to remove.
