Tool Changer RepRap Mendel Variant
thingiverse
RepRap has evolved, boasting numerous tools and capabilities that have been developed and refined over time, primarily focusing on plastic extrusion but also incorporating pastes, metals, and ink. The next stage in its development could involve combining these varied abilities to unlock even more potential. Multiple extruder designs on a single carriage are being explored as one possible solution; however, I propose a tool changer for increased versatility. This concept is still underway, with updates forthcoming. The first test of head changing has been documented (http://youtu.be/-p9uMt9foKE), and an update on the new extruder design and x carriage with sprung electrical connections is almost ready to be released (http://youtu.be/2qtQg9IiP5Q). Keep an eye on this page for more developments in RepRap technology.
