Tool Changer Head 2020 Extrusion
thingiverse
This is a versatile tool changer head and carriage designed specifically for 2020 extrusions, tailored to the E3D V6. I have revised the design initially intended for my personal machine ("OneCube" tool changer project on my page), but decided to share my original creation as well. These parts are untested, and updates will only be made if necessary or upon request from someone who requires a specific feature, update, or issue. The six cutouts are specifically designed for 8x3mm magnets to be securely attached via glue. Depending on the strength of the magnets, you may not need to fill all the cutouts; experiment and find the optimal configuration that works best for your machine. The toolhead features an integrated part cooling fan duct on its side. While it's not the ideal setup, I prioritized minimizing space usage, ensuring it will function adequately. It utilizes two 25mm fans to achieve a greater airflow in a smaller area. The heat sink fan is the standard V6 fan with a standard clip-on shroud that slides through the side cutout once the toolhead is mounted. A mounting system for a BL Touch sensor is incorporated into the changer sled, utilizing default hardware. It occupies minimal space, allowing you to leave it empty if you don't have a BL touch. If needed, you can modify the part to accommodate another sensor or add more fan holes, as this area is where the heat sink exhaust flows out. Thank you for your interest in my work! If you choose to use this and create your own toolhead, I would be thrilled to see your design.
