Tool box for a Makita Router (DRT 50Z)
thingiverse
I like having affordable tool sets, and it's also great to have a safe place to store them along with their associated tools. This box is designed for an 18v Makita Router that comes with a dust shroud installed, providing full access to the tools and spare trim plate, as well as holders for four 1/4 router bits and two 3/8 router bits. The latch mechanism and hinges are single printed parts with a clearance of 0.2mm, so you'll need to make sure your printer is calibrated properly. You will need four 16mm M4 nuts and bolts, as well as eight 12mm M3 nuts and bolts to assemble this box. Update: The design has been updated to include a handle that folds down, allowing the box to remain flat-topped for storage. This requires four additional M4 nuts and bolts. The handle is divided into three components, which I superglued together to prevent separation, but the glue will not support heavy loads.
