Tonic Bottle (VCU_3D_1940)

This antique bottle was thoroughly scanned in the historic Isle of Wight County Museum (http://www.historicisleofwight.com/museum.html) with a high-tech NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner. A single scan was all that was needed to capture the intricate details, although unfortunately it missed both the top and bottom surfaces. The bottle's surface was also lightly dusted with talc powder to improve scanning efficiency. For more information on this innovative project, please visit http://news.vcu.edu/article/VCU_professor_3D_scans_worlds_oldest_ham_peanut. We would like to express our gratitude to the Isle of Wight County Museum for their kind permission to share these images.
