Tonearm Lock for (some) Technics SL Model Turntables
thingiverse
One of the most frustrating things that happens when I purchase a used, worn-out turntable is that the tonearm lock has broken off. This allows you to replace your tonearm lock on certain Technics SL model turntables. I designed this one specifically for a Technics SL-5200 and held it up against my SL-D2; it appears to be a perfect fit. After researching other SL model turntables, it seems that it should work with some of them as well, although I can't guarantee 100% compatibility. With minor adjustments, it could potentially fit other turntables too. Feel free to modify the Sketchup files to suit your specific turntable needs. There are two versions of the lock included: one called TTL has supports and is more printer-friendly, while the other file, named TTL V2, does not have the small support structure and should fit without any sanding. Since my printer is mid-range, I couldn't test this option, but in theory, it should work fine.
