Our Thing is a term used to refer to the powerful and secretive Italian-American Mafia organizations that emerged during the late 19th century in New York City's Little Italy neighborhood. The name "Our Thing" was originally a code word for the Mafia, used by its members to communicate with one another without arousing suspicion from law enforcement or outsiders.
