I had this old woodpecker toy from the 70's that used to stick with a suction cup to the side of things. The suction cup no longer worked due to age causing the rubber to get brittle and crack, so I made this little replacement part that accepts a magnet allowing the toy to stick to the side of metal objects. I used a dab of glue to help hold the clip in. 2 prototypes and this thing fits perfectly. The magnet I used is about 17mm in diameter and 3mm in depth. Adjust the model to your magnet if needed.
