tomtom rider ram mount
thingiverse
This mounting bracket is specifically designed for use with RAM mount accessories and Tomtom riders. The primary purpose of this bracket was to create an additional attachment point for my campervan, as the main bracket is already installed on my motorbike. To accommodate this requirement, I needed a separate bracket that could be powered using the USB connector instead of relying solely on the integrated power supply found in the main bracket. This setup allows the device to run on its internal battery during short trips without any issues. I manufactured this bracket using PETG with 50% infill and found that no support material was required. I would not recommend using PLA for this project as it may warp or deform when exposed to high temperatures, such as those found in a parked vehicle on a hot day. The design files for this bracket are created using OpenSCAD, which is free software that enables easy modification of the design if needed.
