TomTom CD Slot Mount With Ball Joint
thingiverse
I've recently updated the Ring_ball_joint as it was difficult to clip the Tomtom into it due to the receiving edge being flat instead of beveled so I've now built it up, also it's better to print it with the ball joint at the bottom so the entire ring needs support, this way makes it perfect and clips in perfectly. Made a ball joint to go with a few mix other brackets from other makers to use for the GoPro. The Ring mount originally just had a GoPro slot mount so wouldn't twist to face the driver, so I removed that and made a ball joint that gives really good movement to twist and face you. I made the recess for the nuts purposely slightly too small and to get them embedded in the plastic make sure the bolt is first free in the hole, slide it through the hole put the nut on the end then hold a hot soldering iron on the nut while pulling on the bolt slightly until the nut gets hot and melts into the plastic, remove the soldering iron soon as it starts to sink into the plastic, then just blow on it to cool. The CD tray bracket can be left in the CD slot and the rest of the bracket can be slid off to remove from view when not in use as shown. One of the brackets as you can see I didn't print, the smooth shiny J bracket but I have added one to print.
