TomTom 600 / 6000 holder for Peugeot 108 / Aygo / C1
thingiverse
This is a custom holder designed specifically for GPS devices of the TomTom 600 and 6000 series. The base is cleverly crafted to fit snugly between the car radio and upper vents, and is angled at 30 degrees to match the casing's slanted design. Without this deliberate angle, the GPS device would not stand upright on its own, but thanks to this thoughtful design, it remains stable without any additional support. To secure the base in place, I used construction glue - a substance that can withstand even the most extreme conditions and yet can be easily removed without causing damage. This versatile adhesive comes in silicone-like tubes and is readily available at local hardware stores. The package also includes a sunshade, which proved to be a welcome addition. However, upon initial inspection, I discovered that one of the shades was slightly damaged - but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. If left intact, the shade would have blocked the driver's view of the display, making it impossible to navigate. To avoid this issue, you can either remove the side shields from your software or carefully break off one of the shades, depending on your location and preference. The remaining shield fits perfectly into the top, sealing the GPS device and securing the shielding in place. The back of the holder features a lion logo and provides access to the USB plug, which I may choose to cover with a custom design at a later time. The GPS device's button is also easily accessible through a hole located on the back. While I haven't had the opportunity to test this holder on the road yet, that will happen soon - in fact, it's scheduled for this week.
