Tommy's Tripod for Astronomical Equipment (TT-2)

thingiverse

A 3D printed tripod for telescopes and other astronomy equipment. This has been specifically designed to polar align Tommy's Star Tracker (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4839602) but it will work for many other applications. The clamp is a standard vixen dovetail. BOM: 1/4" x 1 1/4" bolt x 3 1/4" x 1 3/4" bolt x 2 1/4" x 2" bolt x 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" bolt x 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" bolt x 1 1/4" x 2 3/4" bolt x 12 1/4" x 3" bolt x 3 1/4" x 4" bolt x 1 1/4" washer - 1 1/4" locknut - 22 1/4" nut - 5 M3 bolt 10mm long M3 nut Note that a 3mm hole should be drilled in the longest bolt for the stopper. The placement of the hole should be different depending on where you want your range of latitude. I screwed mine on so that I was about halfway through the available adjustment, then pushed it through until I was at my current latitude and marked it there. You get quite a lot of adjustment from that point. For a latitude wedge without the tripod, see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4776560 Build instructions and metric version to follow
