A new version of my Counterweight for Equatorial Mounts, for 1/2", 20mm, or 28mm smooth rods. Use a 1/4" nut and bolt to secure the weight; I would suggest sharpening the end of the bolt so that you don't need as much pressure to secure it. This weight can be filled with whatever material you have, but I find that you will need to add foam or something similar to fill the gaps so that the weight doesn't shift. If you use a particular filling and can weight it, post the weight in the comments!
