Tomica Hypercity raised highway kit
thingiverse
This is a versatile ramp, pillar and road set designed to work seamlessly with the cardboard-like Tomica road system. My son remains completely absorbed in building tracks with the road system and racing cars along it, blissfully ignoring the train set! After witnessing him balance the track on top of books and other precarious devices to create a makeshift bridge, I intervened and dismantled his existing construction project for the safety of the Hypercity inhabitants, putting a halt to playtime by 12 hours until the print had finished. This is what it means to be an effective parent. This set provides a sturdy bridge and elevated roadway system that's perfectly compatible with the existing roadways, allowing users to construct bridges and raised roadways with ease. In line with UK town planning recommendations, the bridge supports have been thoughtfully designed to prevent Hypercity homeless individuals from seeking shelter under the bridges. The bridge is best printed upright, whereas the pillar is best printed with the road-side facing down. It's highly beneficial if you have well-tuned removable supports set up on your printer, although the design intent in these parts wasn't solely focused on printability but rather compatibility with the road system. The only places where you should need supports are to keep the tabs in place and where the ledge is raised above the bed, holding the roadway elevated.
