The Tomb of Cyrus stands proudly approximately one kilometer southwest of Pasargadae's palaces, a testament to Cyrus the Great's enduring legacy. According to Greek historians, its construction dates back to the pivotal years between 559 and 529 B.C. The most detailed account comes from Aristobulus, who traveled with Alexander the Great on his historic eastern campaign in the late fourth century B.C., as recorded in Arrian's Anabasis (6.29), penned during the second century A.D.
