DESCRIPTION

Kit for growing tomatoes at home. The kit consists of a saucer, a vase with holes for water drainage, a vertical support for the plant, a label and a ring with a blade to cut the string used to tie the plant to the support.

Vase: the dimensions have been calculated specifically to leave room for the plant to grow and make the most of the printing area of the Prusa MK3/MK2. The vase is perforated at the bottom to allow excess water to drain away and has a threaded recess for attaching the vertical support. The vase is hexagonal in shape, designed to create modularity and allow multiple vases to be attached together. The vases can be interlocked thanks to male-female connections. Finally, the external pattern has been designed to give more character to the kit and make it aesthetically pleasing.

Saucer: created to collect excess water runoff from the vase. It is attached to the vase by pins.

Vertical support: The tomato plant needs a support during its growth, to which it is tied with a string. The support consists of several parts that can be screwed and unscrewed together according to the needs of the plant. It has grooves to allow the string to stay in position.

Ring: in order to cut the twine, a blade is needed which can be an encumbrance. The ring is designed to allow you to always have a small blade that is not in the way and is not dangerous.

Label: complete the kit a label that indicates the plant in the pot and gives color to the whole.

PRINTING TIPS

The vase and saucer require no support or attention during printing and can be scaled in size as desired.
The ring is shaped to have enough space to insert a standard small cutter blade mid-print, which will integrate completely with the model in one rigid piece. This can be done conveniently with the color change function in the Prusa slicer software.
The vertical support is modeled to require minimal effort when inserting the media for printing. The support is only needed below the thread.
Performing color change on the label is optional. Here it was performed via the software's color change feature.
