There are existing filament boxes similar to the Spool System from @Spannerhands, but they all require several non-3D printed parts. I've started designing my own from scratch in Fusion 360 using the RepRap approach, which emphasizes that we can 3D print almost anything. After several small iterations, here's a result. → [YouTube video with Tom's Fully Printable Filament Box V2 with optional Hygrometer](https://youtu.be/7vvnvg-7qfY) This filament box is fully printable, except for the bowden tube which can be chosen in 2.85mm or 1.75mm filaments. Print it from your main material and use TPU (98 or 95 ShoreA) for seals. The first layers of the box should be printed with transparent material so you can see the remaining material inside. Maximum part sizes are 210×210mm, making this suitable even for users with Prusa i3 MK2/3 printers. Printers with larger print volumes like Ultimaker S5 will also work well since there are no artifacts along the tight printing bed limits. The optional part is a round and affordable hygrometer which can be printed on top of the box. You can also choose to print the upper half without the hygrometer mounting hole, allowing for wider spools. You can create a wall mount system using old steel rods up to 8mm in diameter or hanging wire to hang the box. For more information about the features, see the video, pictures and below tips for various parts. Please note that you should not expect 3D printed boxes to be sufficiently waterproof for longer storage of materials like PVA, Nylon etc. The material of the box is absorbent, so expect inner humidity around 35–40% with a fresh silica gel sachet while 50+% humidity is out of the box. With a cheap hygrometer, I measured 20–25% humidity inside a watertight closable bag which is a better option for long-term storage. EDIT (July 25, 2018): Colleagues have reminded me about post-processing techniques to improve moisture resistance of 3D printed parts like spraying or bathing, so there's a chance to boost it.
