TOM new PSU 140mm fan cutout bottom
thingiverse
Upgrading to a new Power Supply Unit (PSU) with super-tight 12 and 5V tolerances and snazzy modular cables is a great investment for any Thing-O-matic! Since I swapped it out, no more unexpected power failures or shut-offs have been occurring. What's more, the entire machine runs significantly quieter compared to the old PSU. This upgrade stands out as one of the best modifications so far! Tight tolerances in all supplied voltages likely result in super-accurate readings. Many Computer Power Supplies (CPS) boast a large fan at their bottom, hence here is a template for cutting a 140mm circle underneath where the new PSU sits. Based on the MBI's original templates, I've derived this pattern to facilitate an easier installation.
