TOM MK6/MK7 Extruder Modular Connector Bracket
thingiverse
I purchased connectors from Newark Electronics to easily switch extruders on my TOM without opening the electronics bay. A bracket designed for the Z-Axis holds the connectors, which can be glued in place using ABS glue. Now, I simply unscrew and unplug hold down bolts to change extruders. The chosen connectors are oversized but fit my Acrylic case mod perfectly. Two 12 pin connectors were placed on each side of the Z-Axis, with only one side fully used; the remaining pins allow for expansion. Newark part numbers for connector parts include 56H5247, 18M7877, 54H6895, and 54H5375. Trimming restraining fingers from the right angle header is necessary, but a version without them may be available.
