At the Coney Island Scan-A-Rama booth during Danbury Makerfaire on June 8, 2013, my new scanning rig- the Scan-O-Tron 3000- was unveiled using ReconstructMe and an Xbox Kinect. The scans were stunning, leading to a planned Kickstarter for Scan-A-Rama with open-sourced plans. Coney Island Scan-A-Rama is a modern amusement park portrait studio that incorporates 3D printing technology and will be appearing at MakerFaires and in Coney Island throughout 2013.
