Tolerance and clearance test for metric bolts, nuts, and printed pegs. Every 3D printer has unique dimensional accuracy. This simple print reveals vital information about tight fits, loose fits, and bolt threading in plastic. I still refer to it occasionally. The first column on the left showcases the base size: - M3 3mm diameter circular hole - Exact dimensions of an M3 nut for a hex hole - M6 6mm diameter circular hole - A square hole with a 6mm width Each printed peg is made to exact dimensions: - M3 hex peg - M6 6mm diameter circular peg - 6mm wide square peg Columns from left to right increase by 0.1mm in width/diameter.
