Tokyo Tower (東京タワー) (1/500)
thingiverse
Tokyo Tower stands tall on its own. Measuring 332.9 meters high, it ranks as Japan's second-tallest structure. This tower takes inspiration from the Eiffel Tower's lattice design and is painted a bold white and international orange to meet strict air safety regulations. Special thanks go out to my friends: Hiroki Osanai, Fuca Kawada, and Ryota Shinozaki at Kisarazu in Chiba, Japan. They provided invaluable assistance when drawing the tower in I-Cube Studio during the summer of 2016. Another key motivator was the scene between 0:02 and 0:05 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wB8AS2dlWY It took a month to complete, from July 26th to August 27th, 2016. With a model scale of 1/500, the tower stands at approximately 66 cm tall, slightly higher and thinner than its Eiffel Tower counterpart. However, this is still a test model, with some details and parts left out for easier printing and assembly. The color scheme breaks down as follows: white (parts B, D, F, H, N) and red (parts A, C, E, G, I, J, K, L, M). Note that parts M and N require four separate prints. Here are the upload dates for each part: * October 5th, 2016: Part A, B, C, D, H, M, N * October 7th, 2016: Part G * October 8th, 2016: Parts E, F, I, J, K, L * October 10th, 2016: Update for parts F and E Feel free to reach out if you notice any model issues or have a clever idea.
