Tokyo City Atlas :: Map Information :: This model of Tokyo uses OSM data and spans a massive area of 40 x 40 km. Created in 3dsmax 2015 with V-Ray 3.60.03, this scene takes advantage of Layer Manager (LWF) to efficiently organize the different layers that make up the cityscape. :: Geographic Structure :: Utilizing the metric system (in cm), the geometry of Tokyo's topography is built on a series of carefully organized layers, each representing various features such as buildings, highways, railroads, and bodies of water. To achieve this level of detail, not all individual houses are included due to import restrictions or missing OSM data. However, for clarity, the preview images showcase which areas are covered by this model. :: Lighting Scheme :: The lighting scheme is designed around a day-to-day system that mimics real-world lighting patterns. Included with the scene, daylight variations add depth and nuance to Tokyo's cityscape.
