Toilet Seat Toilet bril
thingiverse
They created a custom toilet seat on a steel frame for someone with a disability about twenty years ago. The original seat had broken and new ones were nowhere to be found, so they designed and printed a replacement using their 3D printer. The final product was approximately six to eight millimeters thick and weighed in at two point two kilograms. It was created using a Titan extruder paired with a Volcano hotend, featuring a nozzle diameter of point six millimeters and a layer height of point four millimeters on their CoreXY printer, which has a maximum print capacity of five hundred by five hundred by two hundred fifty millimeters. The total printing time for the project was seventy-two hours. The final product weighed in at two point two kilograms and consisted of solid PLA material with a thickness of three millimeters. After printing, they manually sanded the product using corn 120 sanding paper to achieve a smooth finish. To further enhance the smoothness of the surface, they applied two additional layers of XTC-3D paint.
