Never touch the toilet seat again, ever. Simply push the pedal with your foot and the seat will go up, but not all the way so it doesn't get left up. The print time may be long, but it's worth waiting to never lift the seat again. Print Instructions: 0 - Use ABS. 1 - Print STL files 1 and 2 without supports at 80% or higher infill @ 200 microns. 2 - Print STL file 3 twice with supports only for the wheel at 80% or higher infill @ 200 microns. Assembly Instructions: You'll need a hot glue gun, ABS filament segments, and about 7 feet of heavy-duty thread or shoelaces might work in an emergency. 1 - Clean up all part holes if needed with a small round file. 2 - Use clippers to cut four segments of ABS filament the width of the foot pedal. 3 - Put the small square parts inside the foot pedal and thread each segment of ABS through. 4 - Secure the ABS segments to the foot pedal using a hot glue gun. 5 - Secure the assembled foot pedal feet parts to the floor using a hot glue gun. 6 - Cut four segments of ABS filament the width of the assembled pulley wheel. 7 - Secure two segments of the filament through each of the pulley wheel parts using a hot glue gun. 8 - Secure one pulley to the top right of the tank and the other midway between the middle of the seat in the up position and the first pulley. 9 - Secure the seat attachment to the seat using a hot glue gun. 10 - Use thread and tie a knot to the seat attachment and feed it up through the pulleys, making sure the thread coming over the top of the top right pulley is towards you. 11 - Feed the thread down to the foot pedal and tie a complex knot, making sure the thread is very tight or this trick won't work. 12 - Never lift the seat again with your hands and the seat returns to the down position when your foot is lifted! 13 - Enjoy peace of mind.
