Toilet Roll Holder
thingiverse
This is the project for a toilet roll holder, requiring a compression spring with a length of no more than 5 cm; if you have one longer, simply modify the blue piece accordingly. If you find this helpful or useful, please give it a like and feel free to post your make - any suggestions are welcome. The project consists of four printable files, with two copies of the axis file required. A compression spring is also necessary for assembly, ours measuring between 2.5 cm and 5 cm in length, with a diameter of 1 cm; if you don't have one to this specification, simply replace it with the blue component. Once the spring issue has been resolved, glue the blue part to the green one using a hot glue gun. Insert the red part into the housing of the yellow part, positioning it so that the round side is outside and protruding by at least 3 mm inside the yellow part; this will facilitate correct spring placement later. Next, insert the spring into the center of the yellow part (or in any position where it won't interfere with other parts). Having done this, place the previously glued parts into the yellow housing. Finally, insert the last red part so that it protrudes no more than 5 mm. Due to their small size, we recommend printing the red parts horizontally rather than vertically to increase resistance to perpendicular loads.
