For added strength, I infused my roll holder with 20% octagonal material and used a sturdy 1 mm wall thickness to anchor Command Strips firmly. After printing both parts in just six hours using only 10 meters of 1.75 mm PLA filament, I began preparing them for installation. The end plate's 'anchor' side printed downwards, which required some additional support within the delicate details – a challenge that proved minor and easy to overcome. On the other hand, the roll printed from base up without need for extra supports. A precision-crafted 70-degree dovetail finished off both parts perfectly, allowing me to fit them together smoothly. But one tiny flaw in my initial design necessitated a quick fix: chiseling away excess support material and a dash of white paint gave it that clean look I desired. My only snag lay with the snug fit of the dovetail, which took about five minutes of careful sanding to perfect. Lesson learned – if I do this again, I'll double my clearance space to 0.5 mm to avoid this headache in the future. I applied the Command Strips securely and made sure the tile wall was sparkling clean with acetone before placing them in position.
