Toilet Paper Holder for Disabled Access Hand Rail

Toilet Paper Holder for Disabled Access Hand Rail

thingiverse

We've taken the step of disabling access to restrooms at our office and discovered that the toilet roll dispensers were particularly tricky to operate. I decided to take on a simple design challenge, which could be hung on the 3 inch diameter hand rail in the restroom. This is the design I came up with, and it works well for its intended purpose. It would also work just as well at home on a towel rail. The unit consists of two pieces that lock together when hung over the rail. To replace the toilet roll, simply lift the holder off the rail, turn one side 45 degrees, and pull the parts apart. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Dual Extrusion Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: This design can be printed without supports, but you may need to clean up the locking mechanism with a craft knife or Dremel. This design is well-suited for more durable plastics like ABS or PETG, although PLA also works well. I did have one break when someone didn't understand how it came apart.
