Use this little bracket if your toilet's chain wraps around the cylinder, preventing it from sitting all the way down in the tank or if the chain interferes with the flapper. As soon as I started hearing my toilets running, I investigated and found that the chain was under tension, keeping the cylinder from sitting correctly at the bottom of the tank. Fortunately, all the rubber seals on my toilets were fine, but it was clear that the issue lay with the chain's tension. This bracket will keep the chain centered in one spot, preventing it from wrapping around and allowing the main cylinder to sit properly. I've included photos so you can see exactly what the problem looks like, hoping this solution helps anyone else dealing with a similar flapper and chain issue.
