Toilet flush rod

Toilet flush rod

A while back, the flush rod in my toilet broke. Rather than buy one to replace it, I thought, "Why not make my own?" So I made a replacement out of cheap red PLA. Unfortunately, that one didn't last too long, so I decided this would be a good chance to try out some new blue PETG I got from [IC3D](https://ic3dprinters.com). Hopefully this new one will last longer than the PLA did. I don't usually do reviews of filament, but this is really good stuff, and I got a good print on my very first try. That's significant, as I usually have some difficulty with PETG and this was a tricky print. I've now made several things with that filament, and haven't had one fail yet. Anyway, you might notice that this is modeled as a straight bar but is clearly curved in the picture. After printing, I used a heat gun to soften the print so I could curve it by hand. Depending on the design of your toilet tank, you might need to do the same thing.
