-= UPDATE 08-26-19 =- After a month of use, the initial version suddenly snapped its head off. To prevent this from happening again, I redesigned the mechanism using a significantly larger hexagon guide pin. This time, the hex is integrated into the rod and inserted into the handle rather than the other way around. Additionally, I added a hole through both pieces to secure them together with a 3.5mm bolt instead of relying on a glue joint. The bolt should be approximately 50mm long. Some users may wonder why earlier uploads consisted solely of rod.stl and handle.stl files, while later ones are labeled as rod_v5.stl and handle_v5.stl. Yes, really - what happened to versions one through four? Initially, I uploaded version four without assigning a version number because I didn't anticipate needing to redesign it. However, life had other plans, and I got to fix things yet again. Every little issue makes life more interesting. I almost feel sorry for people who never have to deal with repairs. I'm aware that several similar designs already exist on this platform, but I wasn't fond of the original handle shape. Moreover, I enjoy re-inventing the wheel whenever possible. This design is intended to reuse the through bolt and nut from the original toilet flusher since it was the rod that broke in my case. The rod now slides through the hole and mates with the handle via a snug hexagonal pin. To ensure they wouldn't come apart, I applied a small amount of SCIGRIP 16 10315 Acrylic Cement, but it's snug enough that this probably wasn't necessary.
