If you're the kind of person who likes their air ring right where the action is happening then you'll feel a rush of success with this filament cooling duct. Not just a joke, though - this design should work really well and I'd love to get some feedback from anyone who tries it out. As usual, I'm aiming for the perfect cooling duct, although I still think the stock duct isn't that bad when paired with a better blower. For this duct, on the plus side: - The air nozzles are right next to the action, which might be a real benefit On the minus side: - Like all ducts with this design, the hot end isn't quite as accessible If you're looking to try out a duct upgrade then it's a toss-up between this one and my Tentacle duct. Don't forget to upgrade your blower - in my opinion, that's where you'll get the most bang for your buck. As it happens, I'm currently using my Tentacle duct because I like the convenience of the improved hot end access, but life would be pretty dull if we all had the same point of view so I came up with this close-ring duct design too.
