Tofu press

07 This is a tofu press with a Wall-E like look. It is intended to accommodate any drilled food box (180x140x50mm), simply put the raw tofu in, spin the head and it will press it. The part referenced as 'food safe plate' is intended to be cut out of a chopping board for food safety reasons. (It is in contact with the tofu). The waste collector part is to be 3D printed, it is removable so that if the tofu leaks liquid, they are collected in a removable part. Happy printing :) BOM: - 12 M3 threaded insert - 2 M4 threaded insert - 12 M3x10mm screw - 2 M4x8 screw - 1 M8x80mm screw - 2 M8 nuts - 8 3x12mm self taping screw - 1 35mm spring - 8 circular magnet, diameter 10mm, height 3mm Assembly: - Using a soldering iron, insert the threaded inserts in their slots. - M3 inserts go on the top & bottom panels - M4 inserts go in the circle on the LH/RH panel - Insert and glue the magnet in their respective slots (2 on upper panel, 2 on lower panel and 4 on the front panel) - Glue one M8 nut on the top panel (looking inward) - Screw completely the M8 screw in the previously glued nut. The screw head must face outward (toward the panel flat surface) - Insert 'cloche' part on the bolt (inner face). The 'cloche' must be inserted so that the hollow part faces away from the top panel. - Add the last M8 bolt on the screw. The bolt must be flush with the end of the screw. Then secure it with glue. - Install the spring in the 'close'. (The spring is lose) - Slide the 'cloche' in the 'slider' hole and screw it with 4 self tapping screws. - The rest of the assembly is straight forward. Note: The freecad file is available, it may be sued for assembly if needed.
