Tofu Press

Tofu Press

Couldn't find one to buy that met my expectations, so I made one. Here's my design for a Tofu Press. To maximize its effectiveness, tighten it every 20 minutes or so for an hour and consider leaving it in the fridge overnight if you want. Anyone who has tried hand-pressing Tofu or stacking cast iron pans on top of a tofu brick will appreciate this kitchen tool. Post-printing, this design uses a lot of supports, but with proper clearance around all parts, excess plastic from these supports can be removed with some sanding, melting, or grinding to smooth out the surfaces. Once complete, the parts fit together seamlessly. If you're tackling this project, make sure you have plenty of finishing tools at your disposal. Alternatively, consider printing the lid and screw slightly larger (101%?) to ensure there's enough room for adjustment. However, avoid altering the size of the plate or box as they are a precise fit with 1mm of tolerance all around.
