Tod Crag 1a
sketchfab
Tod Crag has long been one of my go-to favorites among Northumberland's prehistoric rock art panels, boasting a stunning arc of six deeply carved cups and double rings that truly shine in low winter sunlight. First brought to light by Mr E Newbigin back in 1929, he believed the site was situated along an ancient route used by our prehistoric ancestors. The flat, sandstone outcrop measures 3.6 x 1.8 meters and features many large single cups, some of which boast fainter rings that appear to be either older or more worn than the main figures.\nThe model was created using a total of 12 photographs taken for photogrammetry back in 2008, all of which are now available on the ERA website (ERA-1581).
