Donations are greatly appreciated. I've created my own X frame (stretched-x), which is meant to be used with ZMR250 arms and standard aluminum poles. This means that those owning the trusted ZMR250 can upgrade to an X frame that performs like the $100 USD ones being sold out there. Please leave your feedback and comments. I recommend buying the arms and 3D-printing the body (at least that's what I'm doing). GoPro mount: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1543416 For the camera mount, since there are many cameras with various sizes available... I won't suggest one, this frame is for DIY enthusiasts who will have no trouble mounting a camera. If you want inspiration, I used 3 small zip ties (look in the pictures) to fasten the camera to the front poles (one goes around the lens and the other two go through it and the poles), and then I tilted it to the desired angle and secured it as needed. Or just use one of the awesome canopies! UPDATE April 25, 2016: A new THOUGH middle plate has been uploaded as an option. A friend suggested a thicker middle plate for those who crash often (like me) so I tried it and I love it, I've upgraded all my quads to have a thicker middle plate now. This is really not necessary but it does provide peace of mind for those who want almost indestructible center plates. You will need a fairly large screw though (greater than 15mm). UPDATE March 13, 2016: I've modified the files based on the feedback I gathered from all the amazing people who tried the Toby-x and loved it! a) The first upgrade is the top plate, which has increased thickness as well as the thickness around the pole holes. I've also added more room for camera angle (camera mount in progress), two slots for mounting the rtx antennas, and a hole on the back for the vtx antenna. b) The holes were slightly too tight and some shaving off was required. I've increased the hole size to 3.16mm, which seems to be the sweet spot for m3 bolts. c) The bottom plate has slightly bigger battery strap slots. The preferred way of using these slots is to thread the battery strap in between the bottom and middle plate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koAwCikFwrA http://youtu.be/_tiznMqXHrQ Print Settings Printer: Wanhao I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 is fine, 0.1 for ultimate strength Infill: 100% Notes: Number of shells: 3, Material: ABS or PETG
